The Hesper and Luther Little, which most people remember as beached relics in Wiscasset harbor, are reminders of the days when Wiscasset was a thriving seaport and shipbuilding center.

The old four-masted schooners are gone now, but you can still see them mounted as exquisitely made models, built by Jim and Lynda Plante, professional model shipwrights and frequent guests at Wiscasset Motor Lodge.

The models were built using wood salvaged from timbers taken from the original schooners.
